Seeing is Believing Workshop – Africa projects

Description: In this workshop, mid-level staff working on Seeing is Believing funded projects in the Africa Region, will share their experiences and specific achievements from their own work and locations. They will have the opportunity to be exposed to new approaches from staff working in similar situations, in order to adapt ideas to improve impact in their home locations. Specifically, they will:

• Build their networks with other mid-level staff and eye health practitioners
• Increase their knowledge across a wide range of eye health areas
• Learn effective strategies for enhancing service provision and improving uptake

SiB are expecting 26 delegates from across Africa. The workshop is by invitation only.

Seeing is Believing (SiB) is Standard Chartered’s flagship community investment programme which provides funding to address avoidable blindness and promote quality eye health. Through Seeing is Believing, Standard Chartered Bank has partnered with the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and leading international eye-care non-governmental organisations to improve access to eye care across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America.
