Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and resourcing goal three: “Ensure Healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages”
Chair: Matshidiso Moeti
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set the goals, targets and indicators that will frame global development for the next 15 years. This ambitious agenda poses key questions about the resources needed to make the SDGs a reality.
Following an address from Mr David Donoghue, who co-chaired the final development phase of the SDG framework, senior representatives from the World Bank and The East, Central & Southern Africa Health Community will provide their perspective on financing the implementation of the health goal. Subsequently a representative of the private sector will outline the contributions made by their organisation to funding eye health and the challenges and opportunities that they see.
